Our team of instructors, coaches and staff members ensure that each gymnast, dancer, cheerleader, taekwondo or whatever you participate in is given the best possible experience. Staff at Faulkner's Dance & Gymnastics have the ability to work with every level of athlete, from beginner to professional. Helping each individual to reach their full potential is the end result. Our talented faculty brings to Faulkner's Dance & Gymnastics years of professional experience from the national stage, television, film, gymnastics national competitions and Broadway as well as local productions.

Mich Faulkner Mich Faulkner: Gymnastics Operations Director, Competitive Gymnastics Meet Director, Assistant Coach of Competitive Gymnastics, Duke University Cheerleading Gymnastics Head Coach and Director of Boys' Gymnastics

Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a focus in Public Relations, Special Events, Journalism, Broadcasting and Marketing from Barton College. Mich was a competitive gymnast for over 20 years. Mich was trained in gymnastics by former UNC Gymnast Dr. Debra Bell for over 12 years. Mich is a member of the United States Gymnastics Association (USA Gymnastics), Meet Director of Women's USA Gymnastics Sanction Events, completed U200 Development Coaches Course: Sport Science, and is safety, first aid, AED and CPR Certified. Mich is a certified personal trainer, Kettle Bell Instructor and a certified nutritionist through American Sports and Fitness. Mich also is certified through NFHS for certifications in the Role of the Parent In Sports, Sportsmanship and Concussions in Sports. Mich is the former publicist for 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist and America's Most Decorative Gymnast Shannon Miller. Mich has been coaching recreation and competitive gymnastics for over 15 years. Mich has coached numerous kids from 2 years old to adult in recreation and competitive gymnastics.

Dru Davis Dru Davis: Competitive Gymnastics Head Coach & Director, Duke University Cheerleading Gymnastics Assistant Head Coach and Director of Physically Challenged Children & Adults

Degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Business from North Carolina State University (NCSU). Dru is a former North Carolina State University Gymnastics Team Member from 2005-2009 with a full gymnastics scholarship. Dru was recruited by several gymnastic college teams while in high school before choosing North Carolina State University. Dru is a former Elite Gymnast which is a highest level in Gymnastics (Elite is a higher level in gymnastics than a Level 10 Gymnast). Dru was a Level 10 National Qualifier in 1999, 2004 and 2005. 3 Time All American Gymnast at North Carolina State University. Was one of America's top collegiate gymnasts when competing for North Carolina State University from 2005-2009. Dru competed against numerous olympic gymnasts from all over the world. Dru is a former North Carolina State University Gymnastic Camp Intern, Coach and Camp Instructor from 2006-2008. Dru continues to be a coach at North Carolina State's Summer Camps. Dru has been a competitive gymnast for over 21 years and has been coaching recreation and competitive gymnastics for over 12 years. Dru is a volunteer for Wheel Chair basketball. Dru is extremely experienced with working with physically challenged adults and children. Dru is a member of the United States Gymnastics Association as well as being safety, CPR and First Aid Certified. Dru has coached numerous kids from 3 years old to Adult in recreational and competitive Gymnastics.

Brooke Barr Competitive Gymnastics Assistant Head Coach & Director

Currently a senior graduating in May 2012 at North Carolina State University majoring in Nutrition. Currently is a co-captain and a member of the North Carolina State Gymnastics Team. Brooke currently is an Elite Gymnast which is the highest level in gymnastics. Brooke attended Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Competed on the club level for Artistic Sports Academy plus for Barry Mattern. Was a level 9 eastern nationals qualifier, placed 10th on the floor exercise in 2005, in 2008 was a Level 10 state and regional qualifier and in 2008 was a Level 10 national qualifier; placed 21st in the all-around; second place at regionals in 2008. Brooke currently is considered one of top college gymnasts in the country.

Brooke was named to the ALL-EAGL first team for 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Has won numerous EAGL specialist of the Week Honors as well as gymnastics meets in the college. Brooke has been an All Academic Honoree for four straight years. In 2012 took first place honors in all-around against Florida. In 2011 posted a 12th place floor exercise at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 9.8. Third on the team with 13 total podium finishes.

In 2009 Brooke made an immediate impact as a freshman, earning All-EAGL first-team honors on vault and floor and leading EAGL with a school-record five EAGL Rookie of the Week selections. Was an EAGL first-team all-tournament selection on vault and second-team all-tournament on floor in 2009. Led the team in NCAA RQS on vault and was second on floor and fourth on beam in 2009.

Hattie Cutcliffe Hattie Cutcliffe: Cheerleading Director, Competitive Gymnastics and Recreation Instructor

Graduate from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. Hattie is a native from Morrison, Colorado. Hattie is a former Level 9 competitive gymnast and competed for over 15 years. Hattie won numerous awards during her middle school and high school career. Hattie was a member of the Duke Cheerleading squad for all 4 years of her college career and even served as the Captain of the Duke University Cheerleading Varsity Squad during her senior year. Hattie is a member of USA Gymnastics and is Safety Certified. Currently is a first-year Ph.D. student studying Biomedical Engineering at Duke.

Caitlin Metz Caitlin Metz: Competitive & Recreation Gymnastics Instructor

Currently attends UNC-Chapel Hill and is majoring in Exercise Science. Caitlin is a native of Matthews, NC. Caitlin is a member of United States Gymnastics Association and is safety certified. Caitlin is a former Level 9 competitive gymnast at International Gymnastics in Matthews, North Carolina. Caitlin was also a pole-vaulter for three years in high school. Caitlin has been coaching beginners through Level 9 gymnasts for over four years.

Alissa White Alissa White: Recreation Gymnastics Instructor

Currently works at Hydrogeology and Geochemistry lab at Duke University. Alissa is from Eure, North Carolina and is a graduate from Duke University. Alissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Earth and Ocean Sciences and graduated with Honors in 2011 from Duke University. Alissa was a Duke University Cheerleader for two years and is still a member of the Duke University Swing Dancing Club. Alissa began cheering in middle school and dancing in college. Alissa has been tumbling since her high school days and coaching gymnastics for over fur years.

Robin Knauf Robin Knauf: Competitive & Recreation Gymnastics Instructor

Currently a first year PhD student studying chemistry at UNC. Graduated from The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Was a member of The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire gymnastics team for all 4 years of college. Before college competed as a level 9 gymnast, and has 15 years of competitive gymnastics experience.

Greta O'Brien Greta O' Brien: Competitive & Recreation Guest & Substitute Gymnastics and Cheerleading Instructor

Currently is a sophomore at Duke University pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Greta is a member of the varsity Duke Cheerleading Squad and cheers for both football and men's basketball. Greta was a competitive gymnast for ten years, competing in both the USAG and USAIGC leagues. Greta was MVP in 2009 and Most Improved in 2007, 2008, and 2009, as well as Most Diligent in 2008 for Diamond Gymnastics in East Hanover, New Jersey. Greta was a USAIGC silver level nationals qualifier in 2009, where she was an event qualifier on the balance beam, placing 7th. Greta has competed in USAG Levels 6, 7 and 8 states and USAIGC Gold, Silver, and Bronze states in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Jackie Yanchocik Jackie Yanchocik: Competitive & Recreation Guest & Substitute Gymnastics Instructor

From Reading, Pennsylvania. Jackie currently is a level 10 Gymnast and member of the North Carolina State Gymnastics Team. Before Jackie attended NC State University Jackie was trained and competed Level 10 at Berks Gymnastics in Reading, Pennsylvania. Jackie has coached competitive and recreation gymnastics for over 10 years. Jackie has also coached Woodward Gymnastics Camp.
